an authorized manufacturer's distributor, or the manufacturer directly. These almost always have all or part of the manufacturer's
warranty.
New-surplus are items generally purchased as part of a bankruptcy, downsizing or other liquidation by
a corporation such as auction or direct sale, or in case of bankruptcy pursuit to court order sale. Rarely will new-surplus
